Admission to Junior School

Application Process

We can admit 48 pupils in Year 3.  The application process for a Year 3 place can be complicated and confusing to parents, so we have tried to simplify this below.


During Term 2 of the year previous to the admission of your child, we hold small tours of our school at various times and on various days, to try and accommodate everybody who would like to take a look.  We also hold an 'Open Morning' on a Saturday when parents, carers and children are welcome to come and have an informal look around the school, join in with some activities and meet the school staff.  We also have a virtual tour on our website, where you can take a look at our school

Applications for a Year 3 place can be made either on the official application form (JCAF) or on-line.  The Local Authority are encouraging all parents to apply for a Junior School place on line, but for those who wish to apply with a written form, these can be obtained from any Junior School.  A booklet giving these details, together with a list of all Kent primary schools, is also available for parents to view here at the Endowed, again during Term 2, if parents and carers do not have access to the internet.    


Those people who wish to apply for a school place on church grounds or any other special reason, would also need to complete a supplementary admissions form, which can also be downloaded from our website (see below).  This form needs to be countersigned by your vicar or priest before returning direct to the school, with any supporting evidence that parents feel is appropriate.

National offer day (after 4pm by email if applied on line or if applied

by paper form your offer will be sent by first class post on 16 April 2018)

14 May 2018 Deadline for accepting the offered school place
16 May 2018 Latest day to lodge an appeal
15 June 2018 Re-allocation of any available places

Appeals

Parents, who are not offered a place at one or any of their preferred schools can appeal against this decision.  More information relating to appeal process for September 2018 will be given when the application closing date is reached.

For applications made in the normal admission round, appeals must be heard within 40 school days of the deadline for lodging appeals.  For late applications, appeals should be heard within 40 school days from the deadline for lodging appeals, or within 30 school days of the appeals being lodged.
