The Endowed Choir

Our choir club takes place during the school day on Tuesdays Lunchtimes

There are so many benefits in belonging to a choir. Singing lifts the spirits! Being part of a choir can give children greater confidence and self-esteem which is gained when performing in front of others. It also brings lots of pleasure to other folk in the community as we visit residential and day care homes for the elderly.

Mrs Rothery looks after the school choir and they meet to practice on a Tuesday lunchtime. They help to promote the school by taking their beautiful voices into different venues and are used in our special services that are held in St Alphege Church every year.  In the last few years they have also been invited to sing for Age Concern UK and have met with other local schools in some joint singing activities.  The choir have also visited Bradbury Grange and have sung for our prospective children and parents on our open mornings.

If you love to sing and are interested in joining the choir, please speak to Mrs Rothery when she is in school.

During the Christmas Season 2013, the School Choir have made several appearances in the Whitstable Community to sing Christmas carols.  The visited Godfrey House in Grimshill Road which is retirement and sheltered housing for the elderly, to sing to the residents.

On the evening of 5 December, our choir then entertained the late night shoppers in Whitstable outside St Alphege Church and then on Tuesday 17 December sang for customers of Barclays Bank.
