We celebrated the Queen's Diamond Jubilee by throwing a 'street party' in the playground.  Everybody, staff and children alike, came to school dressed in red, white and blue and were given tiaras or crowns to wear for the day.  The children all brought in food to contribute to the party.

Various activities took place around the school and in classrooms and the day ended with some fabulous singing in the playground; 'Rule Britannia', 'The National Anthem', 'Jerusalem' and other rousing anthems.  At the end of our sing-a-long, red, white and blue helium balloons were released from the playground as the parents and carers came to pick up children.

A great day was had by all and the children were presented with a Diamond Jubilee Edition of the New Testament in commemoration of the event.  Take a look at the photos below.
