Sandwich Station

Remote Learning Work
The children have brilliantly adapted to their remote learning lessons and curriculum work via Microsoft TEAMS. Mr Hadlow has been in his class with those children in school and together they have all managed to interact and enjoy some lessons together.
It is obviously not the same as all being together in person, but lovely to see the technology working in practice!

Charity Hair Cut!
Darcey was very brave at the weekend and chose to have her very long hair cut off! She had a total of 12 inches cut off, so it can be sent to a charity that make wigs for little girls who lose their hair due to illness. Well done Darcey, what a lovely thing to do.

Term 2: Look what we've been up to!
Dear Families of The Endowed - Iris Class
I just wanted to say a massive Thank you for all your help and support with the Nativity on Friday!
Without your support with costumes, learning lines and songs, it would have been impossible for it to go ahead! The children are an absolute credit to you and I am so immensely proud of everything that they did in such unusual circumstances!
We will be hopefully posting the video of the Nativity on "Teams" tomorrow, all being well! You can all have a well earnt rest from the Nativity now, me and the other staff in Iris class included and we hope that you all enjoy watching it as soon as possible.
Thanks again, Mr H.
Tuesday Treat!
During an afternoon of reading and drawing, Iris class enjoyed a Tuesday treat of hot chocolate with marshmallows. What a lovely winter warmer!
Thanks Giving Assembly
A huge well done to Molly who gave us a brilliant assembly to her classmate on Thursday all about Thanksgiving. As her family celebrate it every year, she shared a fantastic PowerPoint presentation and told them all about it.

Quarantine Question Time!
Does Mr Hadlow find it easier to teach Lynx Class or his own children and what is his embarrassing disco move! Can you guess what Mr Baker's favourite Lockdown Lunch is and what new skill has he learnt. What animal would Miss Braid like to keep as a pet in her back garden and is there a rainbow in her window? To find out, click on Mr Hadlow, Mr Baker and Miss Braid's Quarantine Question Time video as they reveal all!
Quarantine Question Time!

Create a time capsule
We are in the middle of the most significant planet-wide event since The Second World War. Our children are living through a period which will be taught in schools in years to come. And when their own children have 'show and tell' it's kind of both cool and humbling to think of their classmates looking back in time through items, photos and notes deliberately selected by us, right now, as being representative of our hopes and fears and everyday life in lockdown.

TERM 5 Times Table Rockstars
Hello all of you Times Tables Rockstars!
It's been four weeks since our TTRockstars Championship winners were announced and we've been keeping count of all the coins that you've earned since.
This term's class winners are Lynx Class with an impressive 96,361 coins.
A massive well done and thank you from all of the Lynx Class goes to Lily who earned 45,712 coins on her own! An amazing achievement, beating some of the other classes' combined scores! This means that Lily is our TTRockstars Queen for Term 5. Congratulations Lily!
Kurt in Year 3 put in a valiant effort, earning over 18,000 coins for 2nd place and Stuart in Year 6 finished 3rd with over 12,000 coins.
Well done to everyone who took part this term and don't forget to keep practising over the next few weeks! Perhaps the TTRockstar trophy can move from Lynx Class next term - it's becoming part of the furniture in there!

Illustration Masterclass
June 2019
Walliams Class would like to say a big thank you to Quinton (Mae's Dad) who came in to talk to the children about his job as a professional illustrator and artist.
Quinton is the Illustrator of New York Times Bestseller, and Children’s Book of the Year 2018 Specsaver’s National Book Award Winner, ‘Stories For Boys Who Dare To Be Different’, by Ben Brooks.
Also colourist for 2017 Eisner Award nominated 'Clean Room' (DCVertigo Comics).
It was an exciting and creative afternoon with the children learning about all the techniques he uses and creating their own self-portraits.
Pizza Fun!
Thursday 7 February
We had such fun making pizzas at Pizza Express on Thursday. We learnt how to make the bases, chose lots of yummy toppings and then once they had been cooked we bought them back to class and enjoyed eating them.
