Who was Boudicca?

5 October 2022

Boudicca was a Celtic queen who is famous for rising up against the Roman occupation in AD60 or 61. She was the joint ruler of the British Iceni tribe, who lived in a region of Britain now known as East Anglia. Ladybirds researched and found lots of facts about Boudicca's life and drew her from an historical extract describing her appearance.

Chinese New Year!

Did you know it is the Year of the TIGER!

Today is Chinese New Year! In class we have been watching a video and learning all about this tradition.

Dahlia is half Chinese and spent most of her life living in China. She made some crafts with her mum to decorate their house and wanted to show them to Hummingbird Class. HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!

Celebrating Black History Month

Hummingbirds celebrated Black History Month by presenting an exhibition to Upper School. The children researched inspirational individuals who made and impact on how black people were perceived.
