Cricket: County finals here we come..

Winners of the Inter Schools District Cricket Tournament

On Wednesday our cricket team took part in the Mixed Girls/Boys Dynamo Cricket Competition. They had four matches to play in their pool which they won convincingly to set up a final against Swalecliffe. In a tense match the team managed to come out victorious by 13 runs. They played with positivity, determination and a
huge amount of skill and it was mentioned to me more than once by other coaches, that they were indeed an outstanding team. They have now progressed through to the county finals which will be played next week. Well done to everyone for representing the school so well.

Ukraine Fundraising

Well done to Elliott in Hummingbird class. He raised £106 selling tomato plants and bay leaves outside his house. Elliott was fundraising for a local community support project set up by a Whitstable couple, which transports people from Ukraine to family and friends in safe countries.

The money Elliott and others are donating will help pay for petrol and other expenses to help people escape the conflict https://gofund.me/611ed286

Also well done to Martha, Jasmine and Anais who are raising funds for Ukraine by selling eco friendly 'Popits!'

Why is Palm Oil Bad?

Well done to KIWI CLASS members Maisie, Poppy, Rhys and Ben who gave a fantastic presentation all about Palm Oil to their class. The children are very knowledgeable and would like to start a campaign to reduce palm oil in packed lunches.
