The Boys’ A Team travelled to Herne Bay High on Wednesday afternoon to take part in a football tournament against 12 other teams.

In their opening two pool games, it seemed the woodwork was their best friend, with both matches ending in draws. However, they soon found their groove and went on to win their next three matches, finishing top of their group.

In the semi-final, they faced Ethelbert Road in a tight and competitive contest. Despite the very wet conditions, the boys managed to sneak in a goal and secure a 1–0 victory, sending them through to the final.

In a fiercely contested final against Reculver, the boys put in a fantastic team effort to come away with a well-deserved 2–0 win.

Tournament winners!

Well done to you all. This was a fantastic way to start the season, and you should all be incredibly proud of your performance!
