Art
Cassiopeia class continued their term theme of ‘Beside the Sea’ using the art technique of quilling, which involves rolling, shaping and glueing thin strips of paper to create textured designs. The children explored patterns and colours creating imaginative pieces inspired by waves, shells and sea creatures.
Cassiopeia Class by the Sea!
Last week, Cassiopeia Class took learning beyond the classroom and onto the beach as part of our ‘Beside the Seaside’ art!
The children explored the shoreline, collecting pebbles and natural treasures to create their very own stunning pebble art.
What a fantastic way to learn, create and be inspired by the world around us! πΏπ
Art Week: Shining Together Through Art
Pop Art is a modern art movement from the 1950s and 60s that emerged in Britain and the US and is characterised by its use of imagery from popular culture, such as advertising, comics and celebrity, to challenge the exclusivity of fine art. Key features include bright, bold colors, graphic styles, and techniques like screen-printing and collage to mimic mass-produced items. Prominent artists include Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, known for their iconic works like soup can prints and comic panel-style paintings.
