Easter Service

Monday 30 March
What a lovely joint Easter service, shared with the children, staff and families of St Alphege Infant School. It was wonderful to come together as a community to reflect, celebrate and enjoy such a special occasion. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making it such a special service.

HARVEST FESTIVAL

October 2025
We celebrated our annual Harvest Festival on Wednesday 15 October at St Alphege Church. It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers join us for this special event. Year 5 led the service, sharing their reflections on what it means to be hungry and reminding us how important it is to appreciate the food we have. They also presented what they had learned about where our food comes from and the hard work involved in bringing it to our tables. As part of our Harvest celebration, we supported our local food bank through generous donations from our school community — thank you so much for your kindness and contributions. We finished with prayers, where we reflected on being thankful for our food and those involved in bring it to us, prayers those who are hungry and prayers for our planet that provides the food we need.

Collective Worship

April 2025
Some of our Worship Leaders and Ambassadors were very honored to be invited to discuss from a 'child’s point of view' about what an archbishop should be to help in the writing of the ‘job description’ for the new Archbishop of Canterbury. The children had some very good ideas that arose from deep thought and consideration. The discussion was very helpful and Rev Jon made lots of notes to help in the planning process. Well done to the Worship Leaders and Ambassadors for their input and for helping with the difficult job of finding a new Archbishop. What a great job and an honour to be part of such a momentous occasion!
