Ahoy Captains!

Huge congratulations to Connor and Jack who were announced as Captain and Vice Captain of Whitstable Rugby Club Under 10s on Sunday. We are sure they will do a fantastic job.

Beach Trip

Art

On Tuesday afternoon, Year 5 had a fun time visiting Tankerton beach to gather inspiration for their term 4 artwork project. Throughout the visit, the children were encouraged to focus on beach landscapes,
textures, architecture and colour in preparation for their final artwork incorporating collage and
pointillism. Using cameras, the children have gathered interesting and inspirational photos as reference for imagery and colour to incorporate in their artwork. It was a fantastic afternoon in the sea air and a great
opportunity to work together as a whole year group.

Mrs Broadbent & Miss Franklin

Congratulations to Dylan in Oyster Class. He recently attended an Open Evening at Simon Langston Boys School and received a parcel to school with a note saying he had won the lowest positive integer competition and his prize was a scientific calculation!

Santa Fun Run for Pilgrim's Hospice

Our very own Dahlia from Oyster Class and our caretaker Mr Simon took part in the Santa Fun Run for Pilgrim's Hospice. Well done to both of them for braving the cold and helping to raise money for a fantastic cause.

Shang Dynasty Masks

Fact: One of the most distinctive and characteristic images decorating Shang-dynasty bronze vessels is the so-called taotie. The primary attribute of this frontal animal-like mask is a prominent pair of eyes, often protruding in high relief. Between the eyes is a nose, often with nostrils at the base

Blue Peter Badge!

Well done to Martha, who received a wonderful letter from Blue Peter after sending in

her own stories. She was awarded a well deserved Blue Peter Badge for her story 'Rico

and the 99 Creations'.
