Pegasus Class: September 2025 - July 2026

Pegasus Class investigated how different switches work in electrical circuits.
Children explored how switches can open and close a circuit to control the flow of electricity. They showed fantastic problem-solving, teamwork and scientific thinking throughout the practical lesson.
This afternoon Year 4 took the kites they've been working hard to design and create to the beach to see if they would fly! Some kites were more successful than others, but they all looked brilliant and we had lots of fun!

This week, Year 4 travelled back to the time of the Anglo-Saxons. They dressed up, made flour, played traditional board games, analysed artefacts, faced each other in battle and created their own amulets using Anglo-Saxon runes.

Monkton Nature Reserve
Year 4 had a wonderful day at Monkton Nature Reserve, we enjoyed using maps to find different habitats and wildlife around the reserve, identifying different seeds, berries and leaves for rubbings and exploring animal and ancient artifacts in the museum. The children behaved excellently and the Year 4 team are very proud of them.
