Red Nose Day: Stepping Back in Time!
Fri 21 Mar 2025Red Nose Day
We all stepped back in time today to celebrate 40 years
of Comic Relief and Red Nose Day.Some of us can even remember the 80s when Red Nose Day started and we fully embraced our youth dressing up in some dodgy retro fashions! Miss Taylor and Miss Braid had a whizz around the playground on their roller skates whilst we played some 80s music! At lunch they got to enjoy Red Nose Day biscuits too. You can donate directly by clicking on the Comic Relief Donate Comic Relief.

Rare Breeds Centre
Thu 20 Mar 2025Rare Breeds Centre
On Thursday the Year 3 children went on a trip to the Rare Breeds Centre as part of our work linked with ‘Charlotte’s Web’. The sun shone and we had an amazing time! Animal care talks, tractor trailer rides, furry cuddles, tunnel adventures - we did it all! Even the two hour trip back didn’t dampen our spirits. What a day! Miss Braid

World Book Day Pictures
Fri 07 Mar 2025WORLD BOOK DAY
We had a phizz-whizzing World Book Day on Thursday!
There was beautiful sunshine for a whole school costume parade in the playground followed by an online quiz in class, an assembly with Mrs Blinston Jones, creating Quentin Blake inspired art work and different workshops in each of the classes. We loved all of the fantastic costumes! Please see the website for lots of photos!

Well done to our fantastic costume and participation winners, who won a very apt bar of chocolate and a certificate!
We also got a shout out from World Book Day Illustrator Anita Mangan and had a book sale with Little Green Bookshop after school. On Friday morning the whole school got to enjoy an online event with MC Grammar! We hope the children had fun - well done and thank you to Mrs Blinston Jones for organising a great day.
Don’t forget the book fun continues this weekend with lots of events happening at The Horsebridge for The Children’s Festival of Books! See their website for booking details.
