    Football Futures Tournament

On Thursday, the boys’ football team took part in the Football Futures

football tournament at Herne Bay Sports Hub. In a group that included Ethelbert Road, Lady Joanna and Upton, the boys managed a 1-0 win in their opening fixture against Ethelbert Road thanks to a goal from Edward. This was followed up by goalless draws in their next two fixtures meaning they finished second in the group and qualified for the Gold Cup.

In the quarter final the boys managed another 1-0 win against Hove thanks to another goal from Edward. In the semi-final, they were pitched against a strong Davington side that had qualified as the strongest team in the tournament. However, a very strong performance ensured they managed another 0-0 draw and the match went to penalties. Like many great England sides over the years, luck was not on their side and they lost the shootout 2-1. However, they can be incredibly proud of their efforts. Well done to all!

    Harvest Service

We celebrated out annual Harvest Festival celebration on Wednesday 17th October at St Alphege Church. It was so lovely to see so many parents/carers attend this event. Year 5 led the service, which included the reading of Harvest Acrostic poems which the children had written in their English lessons. They also spoke about the two charities that we are supporting this year and discussed their importance to the human race and the natural environment. We finished with Teaspoon (tsp) prayers which identify things we can be thankful for, say sorry for and asked for things to improve using the word 'please' as the beginning.

Thank you for all the wonderful donations.

    Jimmy the dog

This term, we have welcomed back Jimmy our ‘Pets as Therapy’ dog and his owner, Laura. Jimmy has been loving all the strokes and chats and listening to children read. Here he is pictured with Laura and Keira, from Seahorse class, who helped us last year with the idea of getting a school dog.

    Kick OFF!

    Boy's A Football Team

The boys' began their season with a hard-fought 2-0 win over local rivals, Whitstable Juniors on Tuesday afternoon. A fine team performance was capped with goals by Bobby and Edward. Well done to all involved.

    Girls Football Team

The girls opened their foot-ball season with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Eastling. A hat-trick from Freya and a very tidy finish from Matilda were enough to get the girls off to a winning start. A great performance by all. Well done!

    Vision Ambassadors

Five of our Vision Ambassadors visited Bradbury Grange Nursing Home with Mrs Perry to assist with a seated workout on Tuesday this week. They had great fun and we know the residents enjoyed seeing and chatting with them.
