    Choir Tea Party

On Thursday our lovely Endowed Shool Choir entertained their families at a special tea party concert. It was great to have so many family members of the choir supporting us.

The children sang a variety of songs, some old favourites now, and some newer ones, including the new ones we have taught the other children in assembly recently.  There were some really fun songs, such as ‘The Purple People Eater’, and some beautiful songs such as ‘Basin Street Blues,’ a jazzy number about New Orleans.

The children are growing in confidence, and several staff said they could hear them around the school!  They were also very good hosts and helped serve the refreshments and prepare the hall.  The choir is made up of children from each year, some of whom have been part of the choir for a few years and others just a few weeks!

We hope everyone who came along enjoyed themselves.

  • Try Something New Week

    Fri 20 May 2016

    Try Something New Week!

Wow! This week has certainly been busy and from the grins on faces it has also been a very enjoyable one! The children have experienced and learnt many things from Latin music, first aid, martial arts, cupcake decorating, archery, circus skills, street dance and pilates to name just a few of the  wonderful ‘Try Something new Week’ activities. They have also been visited by the lovely Paddy from The Dog’s Trust and found out about all the animals at Wildwood.

We hope the children all enjoyed it and it opened their eyes and minds to lots of new skills. A huge thank you to Mr Hadlow and Mr Wren for organising the week.

How did your child enjoy ‘Try Something New Week’? Should we do it again? We would appreciate any written comments about the week that we can keep and use as quotes on our website. Please email: office@whitstable-endowed.kent.sch.uk.

    Herne Bay Athletics Festival

    11 May 2016

On Wednesday Miss Braid and Miss Dodds took 20 of our Year 3/4 children to a local inter schools Athletics Festival at Herne Bay High School.  The children were very excited to compete and the atmosphere in the arena was buzzing. They took part in track and field events and all of them put in a fantastic performance demonstrating great amounts of determination.

Well done to our girls team who were particularly impressive, coming 1st and 2nd in most of their events and overall ‘Team Endowed’ came 7th out of 14 Schools.  Star performer goes to Ruby Conabeer – well done Ruby!

“They were a credit to our school and I’m extremely proud of them all –a  great team effort!”
