  • A sad farewell to Mr B

A sad farewell to Mr B

Today we say a very sad farewell to Mr Baybutt, our Deputy Headteacher. He has been part of the Endowed family for 20 years and has worn many different hats during that time - metaphorically and physically (he loves a good dress up day!) and we thank him for the huge contribution he has made to The Endowed.

He has been an integral part of school and we will miss him hugely; life at school will be very quiet without his cheeky laugh and Northern humour!

We wish him all the very best in his early retirement. We hope you get to spend lots of time on the golf course!

    Netball League Champions!

We are thrilled to announce that the Endowed have been crowned Netball League Champions. They went through the season unbeaten scoring over 70 goals and only conceding 7 and displayed some superb netball skills, teamwork and
sportsmanship. A fantastic achievement for all our squad: Hal, Lily, Clara, Cecily, Frances, Jonny, Leo, Charlie, Nancy, Yasmine, Esme, Edith B, Edith C, Fleur & Sunnee.

You have made us so proud. Mrs Gilbert & Mrs Dodds

    Wed 20 Jul 2022

    Year 6 Leavers

The time has come for us to say goodbye to our Year 6 children as they move on to Secondary School and the next stage in their lives. Following Endowed tradition they were presented with a bible at the Leavers’ Service on Tuesday and the following awards were also given.

The Val Waghorn Award was presented to DEAN by Val’s brother Nigel for his great progression in reading. Well done Dean!

The Avril Efford Memorial Award was presented to RUBY & HAL for their
personal development and for embracing the school’s values.
    Congratulations to you both.

Thank you to our Vision Ambassadors for doing such a fantastic job this year. Well done to our new Vision Ambassadors SETH, AXL, AVA, MUNTAHA, ISLA S, FRAN, MAXIM AND JOSH s who we are sure will do an equally brilliant job.

Ali Baba and the Bondo Bandits

Well done to our amazing Year 6 performers for their production of Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits at The Playhouse Theatre on Tuesday. There was fantastic singing, dancing and acting from all of Year 6. Our lead actors who had solo songs to sing and dance to and so many lines to learn, were brilliant, with perfect comic timing!

Train Awareness Workshop - Magpie Class

Magpie Class headed off to Margate Station on Thursday for a Train Awareness Workshop. The organiser emailed Miss Taylor with these amazing comments: ‘I have been running Margate workshops for over a year and have been visiting schools delivering workshops for more years than I can count and your students were the best I have ever had. They were fully focused on what we were telling them and asked brilliant questions. Your teachers were awesome and got fully involved in the quiz.’ We are very proud Magpie Class!

Cricket: County finals here we come..

Winners of the Inter Schools District Cricket Tournament

On Wednesday our cricket team took part in the Mixed Girls/Boys Dynamo Cricket Competition. They had four matches to play in their pool which they won convincingly to set up a final against Swalecliffe. In a tense match the team managed to come out victorious by 13 runs. They played with positivity, determination and a
huge amount of skill and it was mentioned to me more than once by other coaches, that they were indeed an outstanding team. They have now progressed through to the county finals which will be played next week. Well done to everyone for representing the school so well.

Well done to Elliott in Hummingbird class. He raised £106 selling tomato plants and bay leaves outside his house. Elliott was fundraising for a local community support project set up by a Whitstable couple, which transports people from Ukraine to family and friends in safe countries.
