  Year 6 Leavers

  The time has come for us to say goodbye to our Year 6 children as they move on to Secondary School and the next stage in their lives. Following Endowed tradition they were presented with a bible at the Leavers’ Ceremony today and the following awards were also given:

   

  • The Avril Efford Award for personal development and embracing the Schools values was presented to JOSH S & NANCY H
  • Mrs Wagg’s Reading Award went to RUBEN C for his amazing progress in reading.

• Born to Shine! Talent Show

  Born to Shine!

  On Tuesday it was time for our Talent Show Final ‘Born to Shine’. Some of our children had been teaching members of staff their talents and it was time for them to perform! Well done to all of our performers, who did a fantastic 
  
  CONGRATULATIONS TO MARTHA AND MRS CUTTS who were our overall winners with their fantastic tap dance. They were brilliantly synchro-nised and beat perfect in their matching muppet t-shirts!

  Congratulations to Year 6 for their brilliant, sell out performance of Peter Pan, you were all superstar performers and truly let your Lights Shine.

  
  Mrs Blinston Jones and Mrs Stanley had given each child the perfect role with Isla as Peter Pan, Darcey as Captain Hook, Axl as Tinkerbell, the Darling family, our brilliant narrators Josh and Ethan, a wonderful cast of pirates and lost boys and not forgetting those mermaids!

  Sports Day

  The weather was not on our side this week for Sports Day with rain and thunder! The Lower School started off in sunshine but ended events in the pouring rain. We apologise to the upper school families as we had to cancel the events on the playground and as they took place around school there was not room for them to attend. Thank you to Miss Galvin for organising a great event especially through adverse conditions.

• Cricket County Finals

  Kent Cricket County Finals

  ^{4th Place}

   

  A massive congratulations to our cricket team, who went to Upchurch Cricket Club on Thursday to take part in the Kent County Finals. The team were placed in a group with Warren Road and Roseacre and they managed to secure two comfortable victories to top the group. This meant that after lunch they were placed in a new group with the three other teams that had topped their groups. They played Claremont first and in the closest game of the day, they unfortunately lost by 3 runs. Following this, they took on Bexley. Despite playing very well and putting an outstanding team under lots of pressure, they unfortunately lost again. However, the team that was brilliantly led by Isla, should be very proud of their efforts. To come 4^th in the entire county is an excellent achievement.

  Transition Day:
  Year 3s Welcome to the Endowed

  Shore Crab and Periwinkle class welcomed the new Year 3 children into their new classrooms today. The children all enjoyed meeting their Teachers Miss Braid and Miss Chapman. They enjoyed 'a getting to know you' question round, fun table activities, chatting, eating lunch together and playing at break time with all the other Endowed children. We hope you all have a lovely Summer Holiday and look forward to seeing you all again in September.
