The time has come for our Year 6 children to also say goodbye as they move on to the next stage in their lives and Secondary School. Every Year 6 child has been given a bible, as is tradition, and congratulations to the following Year 6 children for these awards.

The Val Waghorn Award was given to MARIA this year for her amazing progression in reading.

The Avril Efford Award was given to JAMES and JOANNE for so effortlessly showing the ethos and values of the school.

Headteacher Award Each Year Ms Butcher awards one of our year 6 a Headteacher’s Award. This year has been so extraordinary she decided they all deserved to be the recipients. We will hopefully be able to hold a party for you all when we can.

Goodbye Miss Luckhurst & Mrs Green

We are very sadly saying goodbye to two members of staff today. Miss Luckhurst is leaving us after 15 years teaching at The Endowed and Mrs Green who has been with us as a TA since November 2018. Good luck to both of you and wish you lots of luck in the future, we are going to miss you both.

    New Vision Ambassadors

Congratulations to ROSIE and WILL who have been chosen as our new Vision Ambassadors. We are sure they are going to do a wonderful job next year. We are sad we were not able to announce this in the traditional way at the Church in the Leaver’s service but we hope you are both pleased.

  • Mummification experiment

    Wed 15 Jul 2020

Today, after six months of waiting, we completed our Ancient Egyptian experiment and unwrapped our mummified oranges.

We are delighted to say it was a success. The oranges still look like oranges, although they feel different. Their skin is bumpier, much harder to the touch and in some areas has changed colour but all the liquid as been absorbed by the 'natron' salt mixture and they feel dry. Our oranges were preserved and mummification was achieved. Our oranges can now continue their journey to the afterlife.

Have a look at our photos.

    Year 6 Leavers Information

Leavers shirts signings - Monday 13th July We are encouraging our pupils to bring in a white t-shirt, possibly their white school PE shirt for signing from their year group friends. Our pupils will leave these, spaced out, outside their classrooms and then their friends can sign outside in their break times with their own pens. We are just waiting on an exact delivery date for our Leavers Hoodies, but we are hoping they will be in early this week.

Virtual Leavers' Service On Wednesday. We are encouraging our pupils to wear their school uniform for the final time. This will help them to feel part of The Endowed Team together as we watch the Virtual Leavers' Service in classes or at home from our school website at 1:15pm.

Friday 17th - Final Day.  On our last day together our teachers and pupils will reminisce together over all of their special memories and find as many fun activities together as they can, safely. We are inviting those Year 6 pupils who are still at home to come to school at 10am to say farewell to their class teachers and friends if they wish. We will ensure strict distancing guidelines are followed to make this as safe as possible for our pupils. Please let us know if your child is attending this final celebration day together. School will end at the allotted times for each class bubble as it has in previous weeks.

    Friday Fun!
