Non-Uniform Day: Bone Cancer Research #Teammiles
Tue 29 Nov 2022Dear Families of The Endowed,
On Friday 2nd December we will be holding a NON-UNIFORM DAY to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
This is in support of 15 year old Miles, an ex-Endowed pupil, who last year was diagnosed with a very aggressive bone cancer. Despite enduring numerous treatments, Miles very sadly lost his leg to the cancer earlier this year. Through sheer determination he returned to school for several weeks in September, but sadly the cancer has returned and he is doing all he can to fight it.
Miles is still very much part of the Endowed family, having been a pupil here, as well as his Mum Sarah Luckhurst who was a much-loved teacher with us for many years.
Please help us in joining the family to support Bone Cancer Research Trust as they strive for better outcomes for children like Miles.
You can find out more about Bone Cancer Research Trust here: https://www.bcrt.org.uk/
We realise times are hard for everyone, but if you are able to donate £1 or more for the non-uniform day, please do so directly to their donation page here: https://www.committedgiving.uk.net/bcrt/public2/ unfortunately we cannot accept cash donations on Friday so please pay direct to the charity.
Many thanks,
Whitstable Endowed School
