Fri 30 Apr 2021Endowed Maths Rockstars
We will be hosting our Endowed Maths Rock Stars Day on Friday 7th May.
To create a Rockstar atmosphere the pupils can come to school dressed as their favourite music artists with band-name t-shirts or just come in rocking it!
Pupils will take part in Maths challenges all day and then will watch the live broadcast of our championship finals on Teams. Two finalists from each class will be chosen, based on their average speed recorded in April - so make sure you're all practising at home and in school.
Sustrans BIG PEDAL
Mr Baybutt would like to say a big thank you to all the children and parents for making sustainable journeys to school over the last two weeks - we have noticed lots more scooters and bikes in the bike rack! We have made over 1800 journeys to school via walking, scootering or cycling during this time! As of Thursday our position is 238th in the country (small schools). Amazingly our position in the South East is 24th. Well done everyone.
Science Week
We can’t wait to share lots of exciting STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activities with the children during Science Week in May. And we would love your help! If any of our parents/carers work in STEM settings or similar and would like to excite young minds and volunteer for a talk, presentation or workshop during this week, then please email kbraid@whitstable-endowed.kent.sch.uk if you think you may be able to help. Thank you.

Endowed Maths TT Rockstars
Tue 20 Apr 2021Endowed Maths TT Rockstars
Over the course of March, many of our pupils worked very hard at home and in class to practise their times tables on TTRockstars.com.
The winning class for March was Iris Class who earned nearly 250,000 coins to spend on their avatar outfits.
A special mention goes to Finn in Iris Class who earned over 100,000 coins for himself and his class - that takes a lot of practice and dedication! He is now our Times Tables King!
On Friday May 7th we will be hosting our Endowed Maths Rockstars Day where our pupils can come to school dressed as their favourite music artists or with band-name t-shirts, like those worn by their TTRockstar avatars.
The pupils will take part in Maths challenges all day and then will watch the live broadcast of our championship finals on Teams. Two finalists from each class will be chosen, based on their average speed recorded in April - so make sure you're all practising at home and in school.
