Disco Divas!
Fri 19 Jul 2019Disco Divas!
The children had a fabulous time last night at the Summer Disco. Lower school danced their socks off and were exhausted by the end of it. With a quick clear up we were up and ready for the Upper School - it was a great opportunity for the Year 5s to say their goodbyes and celebrate with the Y6 children. Finally a massive thank you to our amazing PTFA, these events would not happen without their support and hard work. A special thank you to our Chair Sarah, Treasurer Debs and Kate who will departing as their children move on to secondary school.

A huge round of applause to all the Year 6 children and staff involved in their fantastic production of the The Lion King.
The singing, acting and dancing was of the highest level and each child really got into their characters and gave outstanding performances. So much hard work and rehearsal had gone into the play. The amazing set and masks were entirely made by Mrs Clements - thank you! Also, a special thank you to Miss Luckhurs, Mr Leone and Mr Wren.

Plastic Free Whitstable
Thu 04 Jul 2019Plastic Free Whitstable and
Surfers Against Sewage campaignsWe have proudly joined Plastic Free Whitstable and Surfers Against Sewage campaigns and are starting to implement changes across the school, led by Ms Butcher, Miss Braid and pupils of Eco Division (Agents of Change). This will be on going but we are going to start making swaps of reusable pots for fruit tuck instead of plastic wraps, recycling bins are now in place around the school and we are looking into other changes we can make.
One of our biggest aims to STOP using single-use pastic and you can help with this at school by making the following swaps with your packed lunches:
Plastic bags/cling film - instead use paper bags, reusable wraps, tin lunchboxes with compartments, reusable pots
Water/drink bottle & cartons - instead bring a reusable bottle filled with tap water or your own juice
Plastic straws - buy paper or metal reusable ones
Each of us making these small changes can make a big different so thank you in advance for your support with this.
