  • Carol Concert

    Wed 21 Dec 2016

    Carol Concert

A big thank you to everyone involved in the carol concert on Tuesday evening; all the readers, Mrs Rothery and the choir, Miss Braid and her singing group and Mr Baybutt for organising and all the staff who helped with the mulled wine and mince pies at school before we made our way to St Alphege Church. There was a beautiful atmosphere in the church and the singing from the Endowed choir and the singing group was beautiful. Well done to all the soloists in the singing group and Daisy G who sung a wonderful solo of ‘In the Bleak Mid Winter’.

Thank you to everyone who donated money, St Alphege Church have told us that £172.52 was raised and the money will go to the charity USPG.

    PTFA Christmas Shop

The children had a joyful experience purchasing gifts for their families at our annual PTFA Christmas shop. We would like to thank the following for their support: all parents who donated gifts and chocolate, the ladies who helped wrap gifs and staff the shop, Copperfields, Boots the Chemist, Safety, Industrial and Maintenance for their kind donations of gifts, Tiger in Canterbury for the generous discount, Andrea Moorehouse/St Andrew’s Playgroup and finally a big thank you to Father Christmas for making time in his busy schedule to visit us.

With your support we raised an amazing £864.98 profit!  We hope the children enjoyed it as much as we did and wish you all a Merry Christmas.

  • Christmas Lunch

    Fri 16 Dec 2016

    Turkey and all the trimmings!

The whole school enjoyed a special Christmas lunch together in the hall on Wednesday. There was music, crackers, party hats and fun for everyone!

It was all hands on deck as staff served the delicious food. Thank you to our wonderful cook Miss Flahaut and Mrs Whorlow who prepared this lovely dinner – and to all the staff for their help in making it such a success.

We hope all the children enjoyed themselves – judging by the noise in the hall they certainly sounded like they did!

  • Endowed X-Factor

    Fri 16 Dec 2016

    The Endowed X-Factor

The X Factor may have finished on TV last weekend but it was alive and kicking in the Upper school this week. We even had Simon Cowbutt, Cheryl Cole, Nicole Sherzinger and Louis Walsh make an appearance (well Mr Baybutt, Mrs Butcher, Miss Luckhurst and Mr Hadlow all did their best impressions!)

After auditions last week the 10 finalists all took part in an X Factor show on Tuesday afternoon. There was a great mix of singer’s, soloists, girl groups and duets who performed lots of different songs. At the end of a tough competition the winners of the Endowed X Factor 2016 were announced as:

Winner: Alex in Hummingbird class who sang a brilliantly entertaining ‘Ghostbusters’  Congratulations Alex!

2nd : Alice and Olivia E in Humminbird class sang a lovely version of ‘Don’t let me down’

3rd: Elina and Kingfisher class and Daisy G in Dove class who sang ‘One Night, Once Moment’ beautifully.

Well done to everyone who took part and to our amazing winners.

After much deliberation our winners are:

Winner – Arthur in Starfish class

    2nd – Lily M in Dove class

3rd – Charlie in Starfish class

  • Hey Ewe: Christmas Production

    Fri 09 Dec 2016

    Hey Ewe!

On Tuesday and Wednesday the Lower School children performed their Nativity production ‘Hey Ewe’.

The children performed the Nativity story from the perspective of a rather curious sheep.

The audience members were enthralled by the superb acting, wonderful singing and brilliant dancing of everyone in the Lower School.

The PTFA took donations for teas and coffees and raised a fantastic £190. Thank you for your generosity.
