    Swimmer Star!

A huge well done to Jolene in Lacewing Class who swims for Herne Bay Swimming Club. She attended the White Cliff Gala competition in Dover at the weekend and came a brilliant 3rd in both the 50m back stroke and 100m freestyle.

    A Strange World

The Upper School were very excited to welcome the author Lucy Strange to school on Thursday.

Lucy spoke with the upper school children about the novels she has previously written; she explained the process of how she seeks inspirations from places, pieces of art and music and then transforms it into her stories. From this the children were inspired, excited and intrigued to read her newest novel all about the dark depths of mermaid folklore.

Keeps your eyes peeled as Lucy will be back to get involved in further reading inspiration at The Endowed.

Lucy will also be signing books in Canterbury Waterstones on Wednesday 26 October at 3pm if you fancied going along.

    Hockey Club

Our afterschool hockey club have had a brilliant term - to celebrate their last club lesson they all had fun dressing up!

    Our Harvest Festival

Thank you to all the family and friends who came along to our Harvest Festival in St Alphege Church today and for all your generous donations for Canterbury Food Bank. It was lovely to see the church full and to hear the children sing special harvest songs.  Well done to Mrs Cutts and Mr Baker for organising such a wonderful service and thank you Rev. Claude for leading worship.

    Food Bank

We welcomed Phillip and Vanessa from Canterbury Food Bank into school on Tuesday for a special collective worship. They spoke with children about the charity and the work it does to help individuals and families in short-term financial crisis in Whitstable and the local area. The food the children have collected for our Harvest Festival this week will be donated to the Food Bank.
