  • Photos: Arctic Fox 'Chill Out' Exhibition

    Fri 22 Nov 2019

Wow! What an amazing Arctic Fox ‘Chill Out’ Exhibition

The children put together a thoughtful and innovative ‘Together & Wellbeing’ theme with children excitedly sitting with family members to share their exhibition experience.

The children kicked off the exhibition with a musical singing rendition of ‘Happy’ and then showcased their artistic talents of dance, artwork, pom pom and badge making demonstrations.  They also showed off their presentation and entrepreneurial skills and finally a chill out guide of meditation for the adults.

After, the children organised refreshments of tea, coffee and yummy homemade biscuits. It was a wonderful atmosphere where they chatted and presented family members with their current school work.

A big well done to Arctic Fox class and thank you to everyone who came, we hope you enjoyed our ‘Chill Out’ Exhibition!

Well done to all our amazing ROAR school finalists from each class who presented their ideas to the school last Friday. They were all incredibly passionate about their brilliant ideas and very brave to stand on the stage and talk about them and answer questions. You all did a fantastic job.

The judges Allwyn from Whitstable & Herne Bay Lions, Mrs Perry and Mr Baybutt chose Freddie, Ruben and Finley from Hedgehog Class Litter Squid in 3rd Place, Ted from Pine Marten with his inflatable house came 2nd.

They are now in the South-East Regional finals which will take place in Sussex on the 5th December in which their idea will compete against other winners from schools all over Sussex and Kent. • Eco Warriors

    Fri 01 Nov 2019

    Eco Warriors

Miss Braid and her Eco-Division of the Agents of Change have been making a difference in school. There is now a compost bin in the plant area of the decking. Our aim is become a Plastic Free School and to help us achieve that please try on send children in with water bottles (rather than the single use plastic ones) and use more reusable packaging in lunch boxes such as bees wax wraps or reusable silicone bags such as these.

We would love to carry on with our crisp packet recycling initiative but need somewhere to donate them to. Do any of our children collect an send off crisp packets with their scout or club/group that we could pass them on to? Please let Miss Braid know.
