RNLI Awareness Day and Pictures

We were delighted to welcome RNLI Education Volunteer Gerry and crew members Craig and Ruth from Whitstable Lifeboat Station on Tuesday. Gerry taught the children about flags, what they mean, where to swim and stay safe. Ruth and Craig organised games in the playground including relay races, dressing up in their waterproof uniform, how to throw a rope plus lots more.
Well done to everyone who came in wearing yellow or orange and donated £1. We are pleased to say we raised £162.82 which will go directly to the Whitstable Lifeboat Station.

Potter Class Exhibition

There was unusual twist to the Potter Class Exhibition last week with parents and carers becoming the pupils for the afternoon.
The children recreated their class in the hall (desks and all!) and randomly selected a few parents/carers to participate in their lesson. With lots of enthusiasm the willing adults were under pressure to show off their skills in math, a writing task and to make their own stone age spear out of natural materials.
The children checked their work and decided a little more work was required by a few individuals - must try harder! :-)
The children showed off their current work. They also showcased their musical and sporting talents. They had a lovely afternoon and hope all the parents and carers did too!
